Young's impressive round included nine birdies, starting with a birdie on his first hole and continuing with six consecutive birdies on the front nine, where he shot a remarkable 28. He added two more birdies on the back nine, showcasing his solid play throughout the day.

This season, Young has secured two victories, including a win at the Cadillac Championship. Despite some recent struggles, he expressed optimism about his game following a runner-up finish at the Open Championship, indicating that he feels he is regaining his form.
