Canadiens Achieve Perfect Road Trip Despite Key Player Absences

The Montreal Canadiens concluded a successful road trip with a 5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars, achieving a perfect 4-0-0 record despite the absence of key players like Nick Suzuki, Ivan Demidov, and Mike Matheson.

Coach Martin St. Louis emphasized the importance of a collective team effort, which was evident throughout the trip as various players stepped up to fill the gaps left by their missing teammates. The Canadiens began the trip with a 4-1 win against the Chicago Blackhawks, where Jake Evans scored two goals, and continued to perform well, including a shutout by Jacob Fowler against the St. Louis Blues.

Although the power play struggled, going 0-for-10 during the trip, the penalty kill was effective, successfully defending all 12 opportunities faced. The Canadiens return home with an 8-3-2 record, positioned well in the Atlantic Division, and are hopeful for the return of Suzuki and Demidov in the coming weeks.
