Cannondale to Relocate Global Headquarters to the Netherlands
Cannondale has announced plans to close its office in Wilton, Connecticut, and relocate its global headquarters to Woudenberg, Netherlands, by early 2027. This transition will lead to the layoff of approximately 150 employees.
The company, which has operated in Connecticut for 55 years, filed WARN notices indicating that the office closure will begin with separations starting December 21, 2026, and continue through December 31, 2027. The layoffs will affect various departments, including engineering, product development, and sales.
In addition to the headquarters move, Cannondale will establish a new North American office on the West Coast and introduce outside sales representatives to streamline dealer interactions for its brands, which include Cannondale, Cervelo, and Santa Cruz. The brand's legacy in Connecticut dates back to its founding in 1971, and it has undergone several ownership changes over the years.
