Caramel Afternoon Bakery to Close Downtown Location
Caramel Afternoon’s Pastry and Catering has announced the closure of its downtown shop, located at 214 E. Calder Way, effective Sunday. The decision comes as owner Seyhan Baskaya aims to concentrate on the catering aspect of the business.
Baskaya noted that the majority of her revenue is generated from catering, making the 2,600-square-foot shop unnecessary for future growth. She expressed difficulty in finding a suitable location to continue the shop, leading to her decision to close and sell the equipment.
The bakery will remain open until Sunday, inviting customers to visit for a final farewell and to enjoy their favorite pastries. An open house event is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to sell the shop's equipment, with details shared on Facebook Marketplace.
