Cardiff City Nears Signing of Defender Krystian Bielik
Cardiff City is reportedly nearing a permanent deal to sign defender Krystian Bielik from West Bromwich Albion. The 28-year-old centre-half made 17 appearances in the Championship last season, helping West Brom avoid relegation.
Bielik's career includes stints at Arsenal, Birmingham City, Walsall, Charlton Athletic, and Derby County before joining West Brom last summer. His addition would mark Cardiff's fourth senior signing this summer, following goalkeeper Nathan Trott, midfielder Jack Moylan, and left-back Calum Scanlon.
The Bluebirds currently face a shortage of fit central defenders, with several players, including Will Fish and Calum Chambers, sidelined due to injuries. Bielik may make his debut for Cardiff in their upcoming match against Sheffield United.
