Cardinals Activate Cornerback Garrett Williams from PUP List
The Arizona Cardinals have announced the activation of cornerback Garrett Williams from the active/physically unable to perform list as of Thursday.
Williams now has 24 days to prepare for the team's season opener against the Chargers. Coach Mike LaFleur previously indicated that Williams had a chance to participate in the game. Last December, Williams suffered an Achilles injury and also missed five games earlier in the season due to a knee issue. In the previous season, he recorded one interception, five pass breakups, a forced fumble, and 46 tackles over ten games.
Currently, outside linebacker Josh Sweat and tight end Tip Reiman are the only players still on the active/PUP list. LaFleur expressed confidence in Sweat's recovery, stating he is not concerned about his availability for the September 13 game.
