Cardinals Aim for Series Win Against Rockies
The St. Louis Cardinals are currently on a nine-game road trip and are seeking to clinch a series win against the Colorado Rockies in Denver. After winning two out of three games against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Cardinals opened their series against the Rockies with a 7-6 victory on Friday night but fell 10-7 on Saturday.
In the upcoming game, Cardinals pitcher Kyle Leahy, who has a record of 10-4 and a 3.13 ERA, will face Rockies pitcher Tanner Gordon, who is 1-4 with a 5.18 ERA. Leahy has previously performed well against the Rockies, holding a 2-0 record with a 4.05 ERA in six appearances against them.
The Cardinals, with a record of 71-72, are on the edge of the National League wild-card race, trailing the Arizona Diamondbacks by four games. The Rockies, despite having the worst record in the NL at 55-87, have shown improvement, surpassing last season's win total and competing closely in many games.
