Cardinals Defeat Rams 18-16 in a Close Match
The Arizona Cardinals achieved a surprising victory against the Los Angeles Rams, winning 18-16 on Sunday. This marks the Cardinals' second win of the season, both of which have occurred at SoFi Stadium.
Arizona's defense played a crucial role, limiting the Rams to just over 100 yards by halftime and forcing multiple three-and-outs. The Rams lost their kicker, Blake Grupe, to a knee injury early in the game, complicating their scoring efforts. Despite not scoring a touchdown, the Cardinals managed to control the game, with Chad Ryland successfully kicking six field goals, including the decisive 43-yarder as time expired.
The Rams scored two touchdowns, one from Blake Corum and another from Colby Parkinson, but could not maintain their lead. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett completed 24 of 35 passes for 218 yards, while Matthew Stafford went 25 of 33 for 222 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals will host the Broncos in Week 7, while the Rams, now at 2-4, will face the Raiders in Las Vegas.
