Cardinals End Losing Streak with Win Over Orioles

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Baltimore Orioles 7-5 on Thursday, halting a five-game losing streak. Rookie Blaze Jordan contributed significantly with a three-run home run, although he left the game in the eighth inning due to an ankle injury.

Jordan's homer came in the second inning, giving the Cardinals an early 3-0 lead against Orioles starter Trevor Rogers. Former Orioles player Ramon Urias also hit a two-run homer, extending the lead to 5-0. The Cardinals utilized right-hander Gordon Graceffo, who pitched three perfect innings, to fill in for injured starters.

Despite a late rally from the Orioles, including a three-run homer from Coby Mayo and an RBI double from Gunnar Henderson, the Cardinals maintained their lead. Nathan Church's RBI single in the eighth provided additional insurance. The Cardinals will face the Pittsburgh Pirates next, while the Orioles continue their road trip against the Athletics.
