Cardinals Place Jalen Brooks on Season-Ending Injured Reserve
The Arizona Cardinals have placed wide receiver Jalen Brooks on season-ending injured reserve, as announced by the team on Tuesday.
Brooks revealed on social media that he underwent emergency surgery on his wrist after dislocating it during a game on Sunday, where he continued to play for three quarters despite the injury. Coach Mike LaFleur praised Brooks' toughness, noting that he had been adjusting to the injury during the game.
In the game, Brooks participated in 64 percent of the offensive snaps and recorded one catch for 35 yards. He concludes the season with a total of five receptions for 81 yards. The Cardinals have not disclosed a corresponding roster move but have re-signed offensive lineman Austin Deculus and safety Wydett Williams Jr. to their practice squad, while safety Jerrick Reed II was released.
