Cardinals Progress in Contract Talks with WR Michael Wilson
The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly advancing in their discussions regarding a contract extension for wide receiver Michael Wilson. This development comes as Wilson was anticipated to begin the season in the final year of his rookie contract.
According to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss, there has been notable progress in the negotiations, with the possibility of an agreement emerging in the near future. Wilson has had a productive start to his career, recording 85 receptions for 1,113 yards and seven touchdowns across his first two seasons, including 78 catches for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
During the previous season, Wilson ran 593 routes, ranking third in the NFL. Earlier this offseason, he expressed confidence that his contract situation would resolve itself in due time.
