Cardinals Rookie Guard Chase Bisontis Placed on Season-Ending IR

The Arizona Cardinals have officially placed rookie guard Chase Bisontis on season-ending injured reserve, confirming he will miss his entire first season in the NFL.

Bisontis sustained a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee during a game on Thursday night. Although the team had the option to delay his placement on IR to allow for a potential late-season return, they opted not to rush him back following surgery.

Head coach Mike LaFleur expressed disappointment for both Bisontis and the team, noting the impact of the injury on the player. Bisontis was listed as the second-team right guard and was in competition for a starting position. The Cardinals have also placed linebacker Austin Keys and tight end Jameson Geers on injured reserve, while signing tight end Baylor Cupp, running back Tre Stewart, and defensive lineman Keveion’ta Spears as replacements.
