Cardinals Sign Tight End Shawn Bowman and Linebacker Eugene Asante
The Arizona Cardinals have added tight end Shawn Bowman and linebacker Eugene Asante to their roster, as confirmed by the team on Sunday.
Bowman, who played for the Orlando Storm in the UFL, participated in 11 games this spring, recording seven receptions for 53 yards. He began his NFL career in 2024 as an undrafted free agent from Rutgers, spending his rookie season on the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad. During his college career, he played in 44 games across Rutgers and Maine, accumulating 90 receptions for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Eugene Asante recently played for the Houston Gamblers in the UFL, where he appeared in nine games, making 34 tackles, including four for loss, along with two passes defensed and two forced fumbles. He entered the NFL in 2025 as an undrafted rookie from Auburn, having spent time on the practice squads of the Dolphins, Browns, and Falcons. Asante's collegiate career spanned six years at Auburn and North Carolina, where he played in 65 games and recorded 196 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks, earning third-team All-SEC honors in 2023 and 2024.
