Carlos Queiroz Reappointed as Ghana's National Team Coach

Carlos Queiroz has been reappointed as the head coach of Ghana's men's national football team, two months after he seemingly stepped down following their exit from the World Cup.

The 73-year-old previously led the Black Stars to the last 32 at the FIFA World Cup, where they lost to Colombia. Despite announcing his departure on social media after the defeat, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has decided to bring him back after internal discussions.

The GFA has not specified the duration of Queiroz's new contract but expressed confidence in his extensive international experience and technical expertise. He will begin his second term with the upcoming qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, with the Black Stars drawn in Group C alongside Ivory Coast, The Gambia, and Somalia.
