Carlton Davis to Miss More Time with Hamstring Injury
The New England Patriots will continue their training without cornerback Carlton Davis, who has been absent for over a week due to a hamstring injury. Head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed that Davis is expected to be out for at least another week.
Davis last participated in practice on July 28, and his extended absence means he will miss the joint practice with the Indianapolis Colts and the subsequent preseason game. However, there is a possibility for him to return in time for the regular season opener against the Seattle Seahawks if he is cleared to resume activities by mid-August.
Last season, Davis was a key player for the Patriots, starting every game and recording 69 tackles during the regular season, along with 20 tackles and two interceptions in the playoffs.
