Carlton GM Discusses List Management and Cody Walker's Prospects

Carlton's general manager of football, Chris Davies, confirmed that the club will not appoint a new list manager for the upcoming trade and draft period following the departure of former list manager Nick Austin.

Davies expressed confidence in the existing staff to manage the off-season, noting that the decision to hire a new list manager may be postponed until next year. He highlighted the experience of the current recruiting team and the involvement of CEO Graham Wright in list management.

Regarding the potential addition of Cody Walker, the son of former player Andrew Walker, Davies acknowledged the challenges posed by the club's performance in the finals, which could affect their draft position. He mentioned that the club's strategic planning over the past 18 months has positioned them well to pursue Walker, who is considered a top prospect in the upcoming national draft.
