Carlton Shows Interest in West Coast's Marcus Herbert
Carlton Football Club is exploring the possibility of acquiring Marcus Herbert, a speedster from West Coast, as part of its strategy to enhance its half-back options.
Herbert was selected by the Eagles during this year's mid-season draft after a successful tenure with Geelong's VFL team. The 23-year-old has quickly made his mark, participating in seven games and achieving back-to-back matches with over 30 disposals recently.
West Coast has reportedly offered Herbert a one-year contract extension. Meanwhile, Carlton's football boss Chris Davies indicated that the club is in the process of revamping its roster, following the departures of players like Charlie Curnow and Jack Silvagni. Davies emphasized the need for the team to bring in young talent to remain competitive in the future.
