Carolina Panthers Sign QB Kyle Trask, Waive Two Players
The Carolina Panthers have officially added quarterback Kyle Trask to their roster. In conjunction with this move, the team waived outside linebacker Nick Hampton and wide receiver Malick Meiga, both of whom have injury designations.
If Hampton and Meiga clear waivers, they will revert to injured reserve and are expected to be released later with settlements. Trask, who is 28 years old, previously played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
During his time with the Buccaneers, Trask participated in seven games, completing four passes for a total of 28 yards. He was a standout at the University of Florida, where he achieved a 67.9 completion percentage and threw for 7,586 yards, along with 69 touchdowns and 15 interceptions over three seasons.
