Carrick Praises Dorgu as a Key Addition for Manchester United
Michael Carrick has expressed his satisfaction with Manchester United's transfer activities, referring to Patrick Dorgu as akin to a new signing. The club made four senior signings during the transfer window, including three midfielders and a backup goalkeeper, but did not acquire a left-back.
Despite the absence of a new left-back, Carrick noted that Dorgu, who has the capability to play in that position, could significantly contribute to the team. Dorgu missed much of the previous season due to injury but has shown promise, including scoring for Denmark in a forward role.
Carrick acknowledged the criticism regarding the lack of a left-back but emphasized his contentment with the new signings, stating that the club aimed to strengthen the squad compared to last season. He believes the players brought in have added quality to the team.
