Carson Beck to Miss Preseason Game Against Raiders
Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Carson Beck will be sidelined for Thursday's preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders due to minor discomfort in his ribs, as confirmed by the team.
This injury is not deemed serious, following Beck's participation in the Cardinals' recent Hall of Fame Game, where they lost 33-30 to the Carolina Panthers.
Beck's absence means he will not face Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who previously led Indiana to a victory over Beck's Miami Hurricanes in last season's College Football National Championship. Mendoza was the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, while Beck was selected in the third round and had a strong showing against the Panthers, completing 15 of 19 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown.
