Carson Hocevar's Late-Race Crash at Daytona Ends Tough Finish

Carson Hocevar experienced a difficult finish at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 held at Daytona on Saturday night. He was in a strong position, moving towards the front of the pack with only a few laps remaining when he attempted an aggressive maneuver.

While trying to pass Ryan Preece on the low line, Hocevar lost control of his No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, resulting in a spin and a collision with the wall. Erik Jones was also involved in the incident, hitting Hocevar's car as the yellow flag was deployed.

After the race, Hocevar expressed confusion about the circumstances that led to his crash. He noted that the car's handling felt different and mentioned the challenges posed by dirty air. Despite his struggles, he remains in the Chase, starting the postseason in 12th place among the 16 drivers competing for the championship.
