Cash Berzolla Completes Foil Crossing from Maui to Oahu
Cash Berzolla, a 20-year-old waterman from Maui, recently undertook a challenging foil crossing from Maui to Oahu, showcasing his skills and adventurous spirit.
Starting from Honolua Bay shortly after 9 a.m., Berzolla and his friends navigated the Pailolo Channel towards Molokai, covering approximately 25 miles. During the journey, one crew member, Finn Spencer, faced difficulties when he lost his foil but managed to body-drag for the remaining distance thanks to their safety protocol involving parawings.
After reaching Kaunakakai on Molokai in just over two hours, the group took a break before continuing their journey across the Kaiwi Channel, which spanned about 40 miles. They completed nearly 70 miles in total, arriving at Kaimana Beach near Diamond Head around 6 p.m., marking a successful and exhilarating day for Berzolla and his crew.
