CBS Appoints J.J. Watt as Top NFL Analyst Through 2026
CBS has announced that J.J. Watt will take on the role of the No. 1 NFL analyst, extending his tenure beyond his temporary replacement of Tony Romo.
This multi-year agreement will last at least until the next Super Bowl. David Berson, chairman of Skydance Global Sports Group, praised Watt for his growth as a broadcaster, highlighting his insightful and entertaining approach.
Previously, Watt served as CBS's No. 2 analyst until Romo was placed on leave in August, leading to their permanent separation. Watt's appointment eliminates one of the potential openings for other analysts like Troy Aikman and Greg Olsen, who may now have limited options for high-profile positions in sports media.
