CCTV Captures Arson Attack on Bootle Home
A mother from Bootle, Liverpool, experienced a distressing incident when CCTV footage captured a stranger setting fire to her home while she was away with her children. Holly Cham, 33, reported that the fire occurred on August 24, and a 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
The footage shows the suspect emerging from the garage before the fire ignited, followed by him knocking on neighbors' doors. Holly's boyfriend, who was inside the house at the time, answered the door and moved his car, unaware of the fire spreading. The blaze caused significant damage, including broken windows and smoke damage throughout the property.
Holly, who runs a small business from home, stated that the incident has left her unable to work, as her stock and equipment were destroyed. She has temporarily moved in with her parents along with her two children, one of whom has autism, making the transition particularly challenging. The estimated cost for repairs is around £10,000, and Holly expressed her concern for her children's well-being during this difficult time.
