CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens Prepare for a Strong NFL Season
The Dallas Cowboys have retained wide receiver George Pickens through a franchise tag worth approximately $27.3 million. Despite earlier concerns regarding his commitment due to contract negotiations, Pickens has demonstrated his dedication to the team for the upcoming season.
Fellow receiver CeeDee Lamb has expressed confidence in their potential, stating that together they can be very effective on the field alongside quarterback Dak Prescott. Last season, Pickens led the Cowboys with 93 receptions, 1,429 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns, while Lamb recorded 75 receptions for 1,077 yards and three touchdowns.
Lamb, who signed a four-year contract worth $136 million in August 2024, noted the strong bond he shares with Pickens, emphasizing their mutual support and competitive spirit. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones acknowledged the challenges of keeping both players on the roster in the future, but Lamb remains optimistic about their collaboration and shared goals.
