Celtic Faces Benfica in Challenging Europa League Match

Celtic is set to play against Benfica on Thursday night at the Estádio da Luz, with kickoff scheduled for 8pm BST. This match is crucial for Celtic, who are looking to recover from a challenging start in the Europa League.

Celtic's European journey has been rocky, having lost a significant lead in the Champions League play-off against LASK and suffering a defeat to Ferencváros in their opening Europa League match. Despite a recent victory against Motherwell, the pressure remains high on manager Martin O’Neill.

Benfica, on the other hand, aims to capitalize on their Europa League opportunity after missing out on the Champions League. They have shown strong form, winning nine of their last ten competitive matches. However, they will be without Jakub Kamiński due to injury, while Celtic may miss vice-captain Cameron Carter-Vickers. Both teams are preparing for a challenging encounter.
