CFL Announces Finalists for Major Awards
The Canadian Football League (CFL) has announced the finalists for three prestigious awards, including the Most Outstanding Canadian. B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke is among the nominees, aiming to retain his title as the league's top Canadian.
Rourke, who had an impressive season with 4,614 passing yards and 24 touchdowns, is competing against Winnipeg's Brady Oliveira and Montreal's Tyson Philpot. Oliveira led the league in rushing with 1,493 yards, while Philpot set new Canadian records with 124 receptions and 1,809 receiving yards.
Additionally, the finalists for the Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman and Rookie awards were revealed. Jarell Broxton, Nick Callender, and Pier-Olivier Lestage are in contention for the lineman award, while Tyler Kahmann, Parker McKenna, and Major Williams are nominated for the rookie honor. The CFL will announce the winners through online presentations rather than a traditional awards ceremony this year.
