CFL Coach of the Year Finalists Announced
Mark Kilam of the Edmonton Elks, Jason Maas of the Montreal Alouettes, and Buck Pierce of the B.C. Lions have been named finalists for the CFL's Coach of the Year award, as announced by the league on Friday.
Kilam led the Elks to a remarkable turnaround, achieving a 13-5 record and securing first place in the West Division after a last-place finish the previous season. Maas, a finalist for the third consecutive year and the 2024 award winner, guided the Alouettes to a league-best 14-4 record, including an undefeated home record of 9-0. Pierce, in his second season, helped the Lions finish second in the West with a 10-8 record.
The finalists were determined by a vote from the Football Reporters of Canada, and the winner will be announced during the CFL Combine in Calgary from March 11 to 13. Last year's award was won by Corey Mace of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
