After Gable sustained an injury, another wrestler took on the El Grande Americano role, culminating in a significant Mask vs. Mask match at Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide's Noche de los Grandes. Gable explained that he initially conceived the character in late 2024, aiming to create something impactful.

While the character included humorous elements, Gable clarified that it was not intended to be comedic. Instead, it was designed to generate heat and elevate the lucha libre culture, with WWE's creative team later collaborating to enhance the concept.
