Chad Gable Reflects on the Shorty G Character and Eric Bischoff's Involvement

Chad Gable recently reflected on his time in WWE as the character Shorty G, which he considers one of his least favorable gimmicks. He noted that Vince McMahon believed Gable's real name was not memorable enough, leading to the creation of the Shorty G persona, likely influenced by Gable's height of 5 ft. 8 in.

During a conversation with Cody Rhodes, Gable suggested that Eric Bischoff may have been involved in writing the gimmick, as he was the one who informed him about it. Gable described his experience with the character as interesting but ultimately limiting, feeling constrained by the role.

He shared that he had concerns about the character potentially harming his career, referring to it as a challenging period in his life. Gable found support from his family during tough times and mentioned a text from former WWE star Brodie Lee that helped him cope with the situation.
