Chad Gable Retains Intercontinental Title Against Dragon Lee on WWE Raw

Chad Gable successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship against Dragon Lee during WWE Raw held in Mexico City.

This match marked Gable's second title defense since winning the championship from Penta at SummerSlam in August, with a previous defense against Rey Mysterio. The bout began with Lee gaining the upper hand, pushing Gable outside the ring and executing a tope con hilo that sent him crashing into the announcer's desk.

In the ring, Gable countered Lee's offense with an Olympic Slam after Lee attempted to join him on the top rope. Lee nearly secured victory with Operation Dragon, but Gable managed to escape and applied an ankle lock. Despite Lee's efforts to break free and hit a Styles Clash, Gable ultimately forced him to submit with the ankle lock, retaining his title. Following the match, Gable declined the referee's presentation of the championship belt to instead shake hands with Lee, raising his opponent's hand in a show of respect.
