Chad Kelly Injured During East Semifinal Against Blue Bombers
During the East semifinal on Saturday, Toronto Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly exited the game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after sustaining an apparent upper-body injury.
Kelly had been showing signs of injury, favoring his throwing arm after a hit and a fumble in the third quarter. He remained in the game until he was replaced by backup Nick Arbuckle at the 9:43 mark of the fourth quarter. Prior to his exit, Kelly completed 18 of 30 passes for 193 yards and one touchdown.
This injury marks a continuation of Kelly's playoff challenges, as he previously suffered a leg injury in the 2024 East Final, which sidelined him for the entire 2025 season. Earlier this week, Kelly signed a five-year contract extension, ensuring his presence in Toronto through the 2031 season.
