Chandler Simpson's Competitive Runs Performance

Chandler Simpson has emerged as a leading figure in competitive runs during the current baseball season, achieving a total of 359 competitive runs. This statistic highlights his exceptional speed and unique batting approach, which focuses on ground contact and quick base running.

Simpson's performance has been particularly notable during the playoffs, where he demonstrated his skills through bunting, stealing bases, and forcing errors from opposing players. Despite his impressive total, he ranks fourth on the all-time single-season leaderboard for competitive runs, primarily due to his batting position in the lineup, which limited his plate appearances compared to others.

At just 25 years old and in his second major league season, Simpson has room for improvement at the plate. His speed significantly enhances his offensive value, and if he can secure a higher batting position, he may surpass the current record held by Amed Rosario.
