Chargers Re-sign Punter JK Scott and Place Linebacker Denzel Perryman on IR
The Los Angeles Chargers have re-signed punter JK Scott while placing linebacker Denzel Perryman on injured reserve. This move occurred on Sunday as the team needed to create a roster spot for Perryman, who is set to miss at least the first four games of the season.
Perryman, 33, had a challenging 2025 season, participating in only 10 games due to a high-ankle sprain and a suspension. Scott, entering his fifth season with the Chargers, averaged 45 yards on 14 punts during the preseason, although he allowed a return touchdown.
In addition to these roster changes, the Chargers announced their practice squad, which now includes quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, who was cut on Sunday, along with several other players across various positions.
