Chargers Release Punter JK Scott Among Final Roster Cuts
The Los Angeles Chargers have released punter JK Scott as part of their final roster cuts, leaving them without a punter on their initial 53-man roster.
Scott, who had been with the team for the past four years, was let go on Sunday. There is a possibility he could return if the team makes further roster adjustments, although their plans for the punter position are currently uncertain.
In addition to Scott, the Chargers placed fullback/defensive lineman Scott Matlock and offensive lineman Branson Taylor on injured reserve with the designation to return. Offensive tackle Isaiah World was also moved to the reserve/non-football injury list. A total of 27 players, including several wide receivers and linebackers, were waived as part of the roster cuts.
