Charles Leclerc Plans to Compete in Final F1 Races Despite Upcoming Fatherhood
Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari driver, has stated that he does not plan to miss any of the last six races of the 2026 Formula 1 season, despite the imminent arrival of his first child.
Leclerc and his wife Alexandra are expecting their child soon after their marriage in February. The upcoming races include two triple-headers, starting with the United States Grand Prix this weekend, followed by the Mexican and Brazilian Grands Prix. After a brief break, the final triple-header will feature races in Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi.
During a media session in Austin, Leclerc mentioned his commitment to balancing his family responsibilities with his racing schedule, indicating he might arrive late to some events but intends to compete on race days. Currently, he is fifth in the drivers' standings with 215 points, trailing championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 125 points.
