Charles Oliveira Aims for Title Shot Against Justin Gaethje, Rejects Paddy Pimblett Fight
Charles Oliveira is confident that he is the next contender for the undisputed lightweight title, targeting a fight against Justin Gaethje. Originally scheduled to face Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 331, Oliveira's plans changed when Tsarukyan was instead matched with Mauricio Ruffy.
After withdrawing from the Tsarukyan bout, Oliveira was briefly linked to a fight with Diego Lopes, who is moving up to lightweight. However, Oliveira clarified that no fight has been offered to him. He expressed his belief that he is next in line for a title shot, suggesting a double title fight against Gaethje could be arranged.
Oliveira has also turned down a potential matchup with Paddy Pimblett, emphasizing his focus on the title and his desire to fight Gaethje, who is now the champion. He stated that he is willing to wait for the opportunity to secure a title fight.
