She emphasized the match's authenticity and its status as the longest televised match in WWE history at that time. Flair believes that without this match, she might not have gained the respect needed to succeed in the industry.

Flair also ranked this match among her top career moments, alongside her feud with Asuka. The bout with Natalya was part of an eight-woman tournament to determine the new NXT Women’s Champion, following Paige's departure from NXT. Flair's victory marked her first singles win in WWE.
