Chase Briscoe Faces Brake Issues at Iowa Race Weekend
During the Iowa race weekend, Joe Gibbs Racing faced serious setup issues with their Toyotas, particularly affecting Chase Briscoe and Denny Hamlin's teams, which struggled with inconsistent brake pressure.
Briscoe finished sixth, but he expressed anxiety about the brake problems, which left him uncertain about his car's performance. He noted the challenges of racing without reliable brakes, especially after witnessing Tyler Reddick crash into Erik Jones due to similar control issues, resulting in both drivers not finishing the race.
NASCAR regulations prevented JGR from changing brake pads before the race, forcing Briscoe's team to manage with existing setups. Despite the difficulties, Briscoe's crew chief mentioned that they had successfully used the same setup at other tracks, and both Briscoe and Hamlin managed to secure respectable finishes.
