Chelsea Falls to Juventus in Pre-Season Match Despite Mudryk's Return
Chelsea experienced a 1-0 defeat against Juventus at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong during their pre-season tour. Edon Zhegrova scored the match's sole goal in the second half, leaving Chelsea unable to respond effectively.
The match marked the return of Mykhailo Mudryk, who played for the last eight minutes after a lengthy absence due to a drugs ban. Despite the loss, Chelsea's coach Xabi Alonso expressed optimism about the team's progress, highlighting that they are taking small steps forward.
Alonso acknowledged the mixed performance, noting that while the team started well, they lost control as the game progressed. Chelsea has two remaining matches in their pre-season schedule, with upcoming games against AC Milan and Johor Darul Ta’zim.
