Chelsea Green Opens Up About Lifelong Heart Condition Diagnosis
WWE wrestler Chelsea Green recently revealed her diagnosis of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), a heart condition she has dealt with for most of her life. Earlier this year, during WWE WrestleMania weekend, her heart rate surged to 228 beats per minute while she was at rest, prompting medical intervention that led to her diagnosis.
Green began seeking answers about her heart condition in 2018, carrying a heart monitor but often failing to capture the episodes. SVT is characterized by an abnormally fast heartbeat and can be managed with a minor procedure, although it can pose serious risks in rare cases. Despite experiencing episodes during her wrestling career, her symptoms were most pronounced during periods of rest.
After years of uncertainty and various medical opinions, Green underwent an emergency SVT ablation surgery shortly after her diagnosis. Although the procedure was challenging and had complications, she expressed relief at the outcome, stating she feels better than ever and no longer experiences tachycardia attacks.
