Chelsea Signs Valentin Barco from Strasbourg on Seven-Year Deal

Chelsea has finalized the acquisition of midfielder Valentin Barco from Strasbourg, signing him to a seven-year contract. This move adds to the club's roster as they continue to strengthen their squad this summer.

The 21-year-old Barco is the sixth player to join Chelsea this transfer window, following Morgan Rogers, Danny Welbeck, Emmanuel Emegha, Maxence Lacroix, and Marco Palestra. He will join the team immediately for their pre-season tour, which includes a friendly match against Juventus in Hong Kong.

Barco, an Argentina international, previously played for Boca Juniors and Brighton before his stint at Strasbourg, where he established himself in Ligue 1. This transfer marks the second player to move from Strasbourg to Chelsea this summer, with both clubs under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
