Chennai Super Kings' 10th Place Finish Affects FY26 Financial Results
Chennai Super Kings Cricket Ltd reported a slight decrease in total revenue for FY26, falling to ₹636 crore from ₹644 crore, attributed to a drop in central rights income following the team's 10th-place finish in IPL 2025.
The company's net profit also declined to ₹161 crore from ₹181 crore, as expenses increased. Central rights income decreased by approximately 8 percent, reflecting the team's poor performance compared to the previous season.
Despite these challenges, revenue from operations grew by about 1 percent due to rising sponsorship and tournament-related income. The company noted that its international ventures are generating revenue but are not yet profitable, while its cricket academy initiative has expanded to over 30 centers in various countries.
