Chhattisgarh Secures Victory Over Andhra in Ranji Trophy

Chhattisgarh triumphed over Andhra by five wickets in a Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match held at the DVR Ground in Vijayawada. The match concluded on Thursday, with Chhattisgarh successfully chasing a target of 179 runs.

Andhra, after losing their first-innings lead, set Chhattisgarh a challenging target with one and a half sessions remaining. Anuj Tiwary played a pivotal role for Chhattisgarh, scoring 60 runs off 73 balls. His innings helped maintain the momentum, allowing Ajay Mandal and Dev Aditya Singh to finish the match. Andhra's captain Ricky Bhui had declared his team's second innings at 184 for three, aiming for a win but ultimately lost the opportunity to secure even a draw.

In the first innings, Amandeep Khare's unbeaten 89 runs had given Chhattisgarh a slight edge, as they managed to surpass Andhra's total of 231. This victory marked Chhattisgarh's first win of the season.
