Chidi Njokuani Criticizes Commission After Weigh-In Confusion at UFC 330
Chidi Njokuani expressed his dissatisfaction with the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission following a weigh-in incident that led him to weigh in twice before UFC 330.
Initially, Njokuani was recorded at half a pound over the welterweight limit of 171 pounds during the weigh-in. After a brief period, he returned to the scale and successfully made weight behind a privacy screen. He stated that he had already confirmed his weight on a digital scale backstage.
Following the initial weigh-in, Njokuani confronted the official responsible for the scales, asserting that the equipment required recalibration after being told to cut weight. His subsequent reading confirmed he was on weight. Njokuani's victory over Joel Alvarez marked an end to his two-fight losing streak, bringing his record to 26-12.
