Chiefs and Vikings Start 4-0 Despite Previous Season's Struggles

The Chiefs and Vikings are the first non-playoff teams since 2013 to begin the NFL season with a 4-0 record, despite their struggles in the previous season.

After four weeks of the NFL season, only three teams remain undefeated at 4-0, including the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings, both of whom did not qualify for the playoffs in 2025.

This marks the first occurrence since 2013 that multiple teams, which failed to reach the playoffs the previous year, have started the season with a perfect record. In 2013, the Chiefs and Saints achieved similar success.

The Chiefs ended the 2025 season with a 6-11 record following three consecutive Super Bowl appearances, while the Vikings finished at 9-8, currently boasting the longest active winning streak in the NFL with nine victories. They aim to extend this streak to ten against the New Orleans Saints, which would tie the second-longest winning streak in franchise history.
