Chiefs Place Tyquan Thornton on Injured Reserve, Sign Cam Jones
The Kansas City Chiefs have placed wide receiver Tyquan Thornton on injured reserve following a dislocated ankle injury sustained in Week 4. Thornton is set to undergo surgery and is anticipated to be out for 3-4 months.
In a corresponding move, linebacker Cam Jones has been signed from the practice squad. Jones originally joined the Chiefs over the summer and was part of the team’s final roster cuts before being added to the practice squad.
Jones has participated in 38 games for the Chiefs during the 2023 and 2024 seasons and played 10 games for the Jets last season, accumulating 43 total tackles. Additionally, the Chiefs have confirmed the signing of wide receiver Justin Watson to their practice squad, who previously played alongside Jones and spent three seasons with the Chiefs before joining the Texans last year.
