Chiefs Re-sign Linebacker Cam Jones, Waive Defensive End Anthony Dunn
The Kansas City Chiefs have announced the signing of linebacker Cam Jones, a notable contributor to their special teams, on Wednesday.
Jones, who is 26 years old, began his professional career with the Chiefs after joining as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He participated in all 17 games during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, contributing significantly to the special teams unit. After being released during last year's roster cuts, he was claimed by the Jets, where he played in 10 games before being waived in December.
In March, Jones signed a one-year contract with the Giants, but he was waived by New York on July 25. To make room for Jones, the Chiefs have waived defensive end Anthony Dunn.
