Chiefs Rookie Cyrus Allen Carted Off After Knee Injury
Cyrus Allen, a rookie for the Kansas City Chiefs, experienced a setback during training camp on Saturday when he sustained a left knee injury during practice.
The incident occurred while Allen was serving as a gunner on a punt rep and collided with teammate Kaiir Elam. Following the collision, he remained on the ground as trainers attended to him.
After receiving assistance to stand, Allen was seen leaving the practice area in a cart, favoring his left leg. The Chiefs later confirmed that he suffered a lower leg injury and are currently assessing the situation. This injury poses a significant challenge for Allen, who was vying for a roster spot and had recently impressed coaches with his performance.
