Chimaev and Burns Set for Rematch at RAF 13

Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns are scheduled to compete in a wrestling rematch at the co-main event of RAF 13 on September 18 at the Watsco Center in Miami, as announced by the freestyle wrestling promotion.

This catchweight bout serves as a follow-up to their previous fight at UFC 273 in April 2022, where Chimaev won by unanimous decision, improving his MMA record to 11-0. Burns managed to take Chimaev into the third round, marking a significant challenge for the undefeated fighter.

This will be Chimaev's third appearance in the RAF series within four months, having previously submitted Dillon Danis at RAF 10 in June and set to face Tyron Woodley in the main event of RAF Moscow. Burns, who retired from MMA in April after a series of five losses, has shifted his focus to grappling, recently submitting Horlando Monteiro in a quick victory at a UFC BJJ event. The upcoming bout will mark Burns' debut in the promotion.
